The science

Rigorous Science, Transparent Results

Every calculation is grounded in peer-reviewed research, international standards, and rigorous science.

The principles

How We Build Every Calculation

Three principles.

Principle 1

Compliance with globally trusted standards

Methodologies aligned with the frameworks your clients, financial institutions, and regulators rely on.

Every Orvita calculation is built strictly under GHG Protocol, ISO 14064, and ISO 14067. These are the international pillars that guarantee the validity of your reports for any audit or procurement process.

Principle 2

Quantifying the confidence level in every data point

Absolute transparency on the precision of your metrics.

We assign each emission line item a Data Quality Score (DQS) based on four axes: source reliability, temporal relevance, geographical specificity, and methodological rigour.

High DQS: Maximum confidence and precision.

Low DQS: Identifies areas for improvement in data collection, charting a clear path toward operational excellence and uncertainty reduction.

Principle 3

Scientific resolution of information gaps

Closing data gaps with the best available rigour.

In operational reality, perfect data doesn't exist. Orvita's value lies in how we manage missing information: instead of relying on generic industry averages, we use high-level emission factor databases (IPCC, ecoinvent) and consciously-used AI models trained on peer-reviewed scientific literature.

Full traceability: you can always distinguish between actual data and estimates, with direct access to the source of every calculation.

The methodology

Evidence-based methodology

Full traceability: from source to final report.

Emission Factor Sources

Built on globally recognised databases from public and international bodies including IPCC and ecoinvent. Ensuring accuracy across sectors and geographies.
